Regarding Gameday
Would it be too hard to have some sort of crude lightweight motion sensor attached to the uniforms or batting helmets to get some sort of real time read on the players, like they do for motion captures on Madden?
I feel like this should be feasible...
That would take so much bandwidth and overhead it would never happen unless it could be done optically, which isn't really feasible either. (too serious of an answer?)

It would
be awful funny to see the batters on TV at the plate with those little white things stuck all over their bodies
Sensors
They wouldn't have to be as many.
I am just saying the technology of motion capture is still relativly in its infancy and as bandwith increases exponentially and new technologies emerge, I imagine it could take place without even ntoicing the beacons.
Just a thought...
I *really* don't need...

6-3... save chance for Wood coming?
Or maybe we bust it further open in the 8th?
Hopefully we don't continue to give up runs.
My guess
Lou really wants to win this one, and he trusts Marmol more than anybody else in the bullpen.

I expect we may see Fukudome throw out someone at first on what looks like a single this season.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was Prince Fielder. Probably a ball that appears to be a homerun Dome gets it off the wall and fires a laser to Lee.

Corey Hart throws like Corey Haim.
Ryan Dempster can remain calm and collected.
Geovany Soto swings very, very hard.
Kerry's filthy, filthy slider is back.

Great pitching
I love the way it worked out today and hope to see similar a lot this year: Get a good six or seven from the starter; Marmol comes in and pitches well for one or two, and then Wood nails it down!

How dare you all be happy
We have still lost twice as many games as we've won! Wood still has a 13.5 ERA which clearly shows he is incapable of being closer. Soriano still has no HR's and only one SB.
God, why can't you see that this team is clearly average and has no chance of doing anything!

and BTW.....the Cubs much maligned closer last year can pitch....I'm not surprised...and Dempster was a HUGE part of Cub success last year....the guy is a great competiter......Let's just see if the regs can start HITTING instead of TIPPING CAPS
