Best seat in the house?

I have been a Cub fan my whole life of 19 years. But I have never been to Wrigley!! I know how depressing that must sound to some of you it is even more depressing to me.. But I live in Wisconsin and would just go see the Cubs play here at Wrigley North a.k.a. Miller Park but this summer I have made a vow to myself and buddies that we have to make a trip down to Wrigley for a game. So my question is where is the best place to get seats? I know the bleachers have some hype to them but can you actually watch the game from there?

You can watch a game there...

as there are very good views from virtually all angles. If not there, I'd say splurge on the field seats, as I think the darkness of the mezzanine area takes away from the natural charm of Wrigley. Worst case, upper deck, down the foul lines.

HELL YES!

Front row Left Field just outside the well is my favorite spot.

Top row left field is my second.

lower level within 10 rows right behind 1st base is hot.

Honestly

IMO, avoid any aisle that is in the 200s or 500s and you should be fine. The 400 level in the lower rows are awesome. The bleachers offer you a great view of the field.

Remember if you sit in the right field bleachers that doesnt mean that left field sucks, unless of course you are 22 years old and with your frat brothers.

BTW, idiot fans---Im standing in line to get a sausage yesterday and two "stereotypical" college girls were laughing with the cook about how they were here just to get drunk-----gotta love it.

the first 5 rows are fine

I used to know a guy who was in aisle 215 row 5 and it was fine, but any further back and there would have been problems.

Depends on the section

You can actually go pretty deep in some parts of the ballpark. Our seats are in the right field corner, about 2/3 of the way back in the section. The only part of the field that's obstructed by a post is the right field corner, which you can't see anyway because the wall is too high.

true

you can find good seats behind the poles. It's just a little harder is all.

Let me caution you about the bleachers

It's cool to be out there -- you're right on top of the outfield, and you can see the whole rest of the park.

Unfortunately, the bleacher crowd are generally more inebriated than the crowd in the grandstand, and much more prone to causing distractions from the game. It's fun in its own way, but every time I sit in the bleachers, I tend to have a significantly more difficult time focusing on the game.

I think the best seats in the house are the upper deck box seats behind home plate.

i like

the upper deck reserved right behind home plate. Has a great view of the field and they are very cheap.

Never Been To Wrigley?!?

Well, since you have never been there, I am kind of partial to the left field bleachers myself. Its true that it gets crazy there but for me, thats the best place to experience Wrigley and all of its comraderie. Just make sure you get there a minimum of 2 1/2 to 3 hours before game time because they open the gates 2 hours before but people start lining up for the bleachers early. What we usually do is have someone wait in line while someone else is at Murphy's and then we switch, also dont forget to high five everyone within reaching distance after a great play!

There is a GREAT site called

seatdata.com and it's free. You have to pay a small fee for the big pics BUT you can go to any Pro Sport Stadium or Arena...and click on your section to see a view from your seats. I've been using this iste for a year or so and it's awesome.

Here is a view from 209. A general rule is nopthing over row 6 in the 200's so you dont get blocked by a pole.

Funny

I may be wrong but I feel you can learn a lot about a person (if you are well versed in Wrigley Field...not saying I am...somewhat) by where they consider the best seat in the house is.

Anyone else catch my drift?

Calm down.
