Rogers Centre Road Trip
I'm planning on taking a road trip for the Cubs series in Toronto June 13-15. I'm wondering if any of you Cub fans here on BCB have any isnight into the Rogers Centre, Seating at Rogers Centre, Toronto sightseeing, driving to Toronto, etc.
I'm working on finding good tickets for at least 2 of 3 games as well, any 411 about this would also be appreciated. blujays.com still has tickets available but not the greatest seats so I'll make that a 2nd or 3rd option.
When this is all said and done I'll be posting about my experience and hopefully provide many pictures. In the meantime, would appreciate any input, thoughts or opinions. Thanks in advance!!!!!

As far as the rodgers centre goes
I went there last year in August for a series vs the Yankees and against the Angels. I had no trouble at all finding tickets out front for around face value. It's a massive stadium, and everyone from toronto is an idiot that doesn't understand anything except the leafs (It's true I'm sorry)
You can get 500 level tickets for under twenty a seat, but there is no moving around besides that.
All I can really think of is the Hockey Hall Of Fame and the CN Tower which are within a block of the phone booth.
If you have any questions I can ask my brother-in-law who lives out there and is a big jays fan, he can answer all your questions, as long as I have some specifics to ask
FYI: Once you get into the rogers centre, you cannot CANNOT get back out unless you don't want to come back in. No re-entry. (Refer to "Toronto = idiots")
Los Cachorros!
their idiots cause you they have a no re-entry rule
I guess we are a bunch of idiots too cause wrigley does the same thing.

2002
I went to a couple of games at the Rogers Centre in 2002. At that time, it was pretty easy to get tickets. Of course, the dollar was actually worth something then, so the prices were also relatively cheaper. I think there were maybe 20-25,000 people at each of the two weekend games I went to. But that was a while ago, so that may have changed. I remember we got pretty good seats (lower deck) for around $20-$25 (American).
I was lucky enough to stay at the hotel that's attached to the Rogers Centre (someone else was paying for it, so I have no idea how much it cost, but if I had to ask, I'd say, it's expensive). One of the two games, I watched from the hotel restaurant, which is in the outfield, and looks out over the stadium. They pipe in the radio announcers so you can hear everything. If you can do that, it's kind of cool. A different experience than actually being physically in the park, but pretty cool in it's own way.

One more thing
I thought Toronto was a very cool city, and the downtown area is very walkable. So if you can afford it, I'd recommend staying close to downtown and exploring the city.

Agreed re: Toronto.
Great city, easy to get around (they have an extensive subway system), and tickets should be fairly easy to get.
Warning: the Canadian $ is now worth MORE than the US $, so you will likely find everything there, particularly hotels and restaurants, VERY expensive.

Thanks
This is particularly good to know (easy to get around) since I do plan to stay in the west downtown area. Unfortunate about the dollar though which I've experienced in Colombia and Mexico recently. I think it's hit the wife hardest though as it affects her shopping.
