Ok, so I am not usually this childish, but I felt compelled to post this pic in retaliation for the pic posted by a moran at VEB.

LOVE this picture

Does anyone know its origin? I first recall seeing it a few years ago.

I think it was from a political rally.

It's just a coincidence that the guy is wearing a Cardinals shirt.

did a little 'research'

I found a blogger who claims Mr. Moran was amongst a crowd of 75 "hostile" pro-war counter protesters at a 350 person protest of a Boeing facility in Missouri. However, the blogger does not have any legitimate sources cited.

If I have time today, I'll use my resources at work to find a corroborating news article.

Here's what Fark.com says about it...

... Link

"Moran": Misspelling of moron, referring to a well-known picture of a redneck holding two signs saying "Get a brain! Morans" and "Go USA", in response to anti-war activists protesting the US invasion of Iraq. The image was originally taken at a Boeing plant in Saint Charles, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis), shortly after the war began in March 2003, and was originally posted on the web site of the St. Louis Independent Media Center. (The original article and images have apparently since been archived.) A Google image search for "morans" is a useful way to find the picture.

Sounds about right. I tried searching the Internet Archive for this, but it appears to be down today.

thanks

I did a search using my newspaper archive resources and could not find any stories about this protest, but I'm going to keep trying.

I'm a little surprised Snopes doesn't have an article about this picture, too.

I am going to conclude

that this rally so close to St Louis had mostly St Louis area residents attending and most St Louis area folks are Cards fans. A coincidence???? I think not! ;-)

According to Bugs Bunny

it would be MAROON

Moe, Larry, and Curly would say Ignorami for more than one Ingnoramus
