Fukudome = Progress

OK...this probably isn't diary worthy and we've all had this same conversation before, but after a week of watching Kosuke play baseball I feel it's time to express my gratitude. I know I am not alone in saying how much I am enjoying the continued excitement that his performance brings me every time I see him play. Other than Lee's MVP-ish campaign in 2005 and "you know who"s miraculous (but not really) 98-01 seasons, I cannot think of another player in recent history that stirs that feeling of anticipation each time he steps to the plate.  You just expect the man to do something good every time he's at bat or the ball is hit to him, and he almost always does.  It's refreshing to watch a player at the major league level play with the skill, finesse, and intelligence we've witnessed so far.  I know the slumps will come, every player has them, but as I've watched his approach and attitude through some pretty tough situations already, he has that way of carrying himself that makes you think those rough spots won't last long.  Here's to you Mr. Fukudome.  You've been better than advertised, and this cub fan can't wait for more!

 Now for the part you've all been waiting for....my mancrush on Dome inspired me to copy plagiarize a popular graphic image of someone else that everyone seems to be smitten with recently.
