Ronny with a walk
I'm shocked. As much of a Ronny hater I am, I can't complain one bit about him so far. I hope he doesn't do anything to change my mind :)
Ronny has done some good things
the last two games. Granted, he's no Einstein, but he's actually reaching base.

Not to get into a debate
But he really did make a costly error Monday...
I know that most of BCB will disagree with me
but I don't mind seeing an occasional airmail throw from a fielder trying to make a great play. I'd rather see a guy be aggressive and make mistakes than playing passively and not making any plays. Ramy's error was really the bad one that inning.

DOnt forget our team hit like 8 home runs in April last year with
lee and soriano hitting one or none each we are much further ahead
"Hey Chicago what do you say the Cubs are gonna win today"
Yes but....
Home runs don't always win games. To be a good team, you have to be able to hit in all kinds of situations. Sacrifice Flies, Sacrifice Bunts, hit to the right side of the infield, etc. That is something that this team is terrible at...until that happens we are medicore

There needs to be an official protest on the inning and complaints filed.
There is no place like Nebraska - Go Huskers!
Absurd enough
That the Pirates need to know it won't be stood for. I don't think it's the reason to give up the HR but it's suspicious none-the-less

And who knows if the mascot was under orders to try to mess the pitcher up.

its different becuase
the parrot is on the Pirates payroll and is there to entertain, not there to harass or distract opposing team. If it was a fan I wouldnt care.

Well
Its a giant oversized bright green suit. Remeber last year when the fam behind the plate in AZ had the flashign Cubs clock and got escorted away? Thats what I would equate this DAMN PARROT to. Using something beyond normal gear allowed into a stadium to distract the players. It just seems like an unfair advantage for the home team mascot to be behind the plate. But for all I know the s.o.b. will get a raise. You notice both time that DAMN parrot was doing it the pitcher on the mound gave up a game tie'ing Home Run......

I can guarantee
if a fan was standing in the isle like the parrot was and the fan was waving a poncho or sign, security would remove the fan from the isle. If a fan cant do it then why should the home team mascot be able to. At this point.... WHO CARES! F ' THE PARROT CUBS WIN!!

I've
seen batters call time a number of times becuase people at wrigley get in the batters eye with white shirts on. It can effect the outcome of a pitch. If it was a fan being an ass then I wouldnt care. For all I know Wood didnt see it and he sure as heck wouldnt admit it. But it just pissed me off, thats all.

I'm seeing a lot of that kind of strikeout from Dero lately
I was at the 3-2 win last sunday in those CBOE seats behind home plate and Dero struck out EXACTLY like that.
Last season, in April... DeRO struck out a TON.
But, he came around eventually.

Even my Devil Rays fan roommate

Why
cant we just get the win in the 9th?
Why do we have to do this Extra Innings?

Doug Mientkiewicz is one of them. Hustle isn't a good thing if you can't back it up.
He had every right to

Lou Brown: "My kinda team, Charlie, my kinda team..."
I actually looked into it today...
...as Baseball-Reference.com has added a bunch of new splits, including how well a player does bunting. Soriano has something like 17 bunt attempts in his career, with 3 hits and 2 Reach On Errors. If you think he can continue that, having him bunt is probably a pretty good idea - his OBP would be right around where it's at from having him swing away.

25 LOB???
Sorry, I just got home. Pulled up Gameday and I see the Cubs have 25 runners left on base tonight...Is that accurate? Is it some sort of mistake on gameday?? I can't believe it...I know the Cubs have always been notorious for leaving ducks on but...wow.
I feel for everyone who has watched this game.
I hate when we outhit teams by 6 and still find ourselves
in a tie game. We need to do better with runners in scoring position
Demp threw 98 pitches...
...67 for strikes. Looks like he threw very well, but i'm just looking at stats. I'm concerned with Ronny's E in the 8th, did that lead to anything? I'm sorry for bringing it up again, but I just tuned in.
