Beating the Diamondbacks

Payback for 2007 is sweet, but what is even better is Alfonso Soriano's return to fighting form.  Two head-first slides into home plate to score runs, a FOUR for five performance with at least two extra-base hits, and he didn't miss a ball hit to him; in fact, he looked very good going back towards the wall on multiple occasions.

Other clutch hitting included Theriot, DeRosa, Ramirez and Ward off the bench.  And how about that Ryan Dempster -- if not for a very bad call on what was really a third strike, the DBacks wouldn't have scored ANY runs, as it was, he got out of a pretty sticky situation with minimal damage.

This was a VERY good game, and we've already taken the series; let's go for the sweep tomorrow!!!

(edit: corrected the spelling of Sori's phirst name.)
