No need to apologize.
I like what you did over at the Top 25 post. It’s good to keep the whole season in perspective, too.

What about...
Daryle Ward? I know he only had three at bats but those two hits in those three at bats were very clutch hits, one of them winning a game.

I almost added Ward;
I should probably err on the side of adding too many people to the vote.

what's up with soto playing EVERY day?
should i be at all concerned that we are going to use up his knees? i am more accustomed to the catcher getting a couple days off per week. i want to have soto behind the plate for several years until he takes over 1B from Lee.

You should be very concerned.
I just wrote about this over in Al’s recap thread. Lou seems to be managing without a long-term view, let alone a multi-season view. It’s a big offensive drop-off from Soto to Blanco, but we’re still leading all of baseball in runs scored. We can take a few games with Henry behind the plate, especially because we need a strong Soto in October.
And if we’re talking multi-season long-term views, we can more than afford to develop Felix Pie.

Blanco...
... will start one of the games in the Padres series, likely Thursday afternoon after Wednesday night. Soto’s young. I’m not worried about him yet.

young knees don't wear down
like young arms do. I am more concerned with the over use of Marmol than Soto.
