- K. Kouzmanoff grounded out to third, A. Gonzalez out at second
- K. Greene struck out looking
- S. Hairston struck out swinging

I think this blog uses wiki-like formatting...

So if you start lines with certain characters you get weird behavior

For example
  1. lines beginning with pound signs turn into ordered lists
  2. I’m sure those infamous grey boxes are related to this as well, but I’ve never figured out how to get them.

can someone answer this for me

I know that when they started playing night games that they are only allowed a certain amount but does it state when they have to be played?

We have always heard how the players wear out in the heat of the summer, so why have night games in april and may when its 40 outside and not have more in july and august when its hotter?

Is it an agreement with the neighborhood or the city?

Let go cubs

by cubsfaninkc on May 12, 2008 8:44 PM CDT reply actions

They can't play night games on Friday or Saturday.

I think the agreement is with the city of behalf of the neighborhood.

by cowsarecool220 on May 12, 2008 8:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Also... summer weekday attendance is always good in afternoons

Because kids are out from school, and families are vacationing, and people take days off of work to enjoy summer.

Hence, weekday evening games in the non-summer months will draw better than say a Tuesday afternoon in April.

I’m upset you even know about Braun. But in his case his offense is worth his bad defense. Not the case with Cub SS. And if you think ONEDEC will play out of his mind all year then forget it.

Scoreless no more

The pitcher who came in for Lee just gave up 3 in the 10th. BULLSHOES!

You can have 6 games on your screen at once..

I still refuse to believe that anyone can “watch” 6 games at once

by MillsChC on May 12, 2008 9:40 PM CDT up reply actions

can you maximize and minimize screens?

so that you can pick and choose which games to watch?

Good question...

also, who does PBP? Local announcers?

by Bump Bailey on May 12, 2008 9:43 PM CDT up reply actions

There's a few different settings...

I usually go with the 3 games at once setting…one of the games is in a big screen and the other 2 are smaller screens…. you can’t change the sizes of the screens yourself though

by MillsChC on May 12, 2008 9:43 PM CDT up reply actions

but thats still pretty neat

Like you can have the cubs game on the largest screen and simultaneously scoreboard watch in real time

Just saw highlights of the Molina and LaRussa ejections on Baseball Tonight

Molina took all of his catching gear off in front of the plate umpire and told him to catch. LaRussa kept jawing and then got the heave-ho.

I have a feeling Molina might get a few days off, courtesy of MLB.

He’s got 40 RBIs already!!!! Holy crap.

Why did we trade him?

We never had him

We trade the rights to our pick in the rule 5 draft, the Reds chose what player they wanted.

i thought this has been gone over.

the cubs drafted him with the intention of giving him to the reds. i’m not really sure why you would help a division rival but the cubs never had any intention of keeping him.

by bikemonkey on May 12, 2008 9:49 PM CDT up reply actions

You'd think we would've been smart enough to draft him and keep him?

on the way back from the game. I LMAO!

I couldn’t feel my fingers for about 30 minutes after the game. They are hardy up there in Alaska!

Nice Cub win. Let’s hope Marquis can beat Estes. A complete rag-arm pitcher (but a “great story”).

As we all remember, he got us a huge win (after like 7 losses in a row) in September 2003. But that was then…

as a Rockies fan I’d like to thank the Cubs for beating them Padres after they took 2 out of 3 games from us Sat & Sun. Congrats to the Cubbies for getting 1st place back from those birds!

For those of here in the southernmost corner

of the US…..and chained to the Cox Cable/Padres TV version of tonight’s game…..and stuck with Matt Vasgergian, who was rather subdued tonight, thankfully…his ‘color’ man, former Cub/Padre/Brave/Giant Mark Grant did a very passable Pat Hughes imitation…I usually try to mute anything those two say, but I actually found his take on Hughes….very funny.

Grant, a native Chicagoan (who would KILL to work for the Cubs) admitted he listens to XM baseball, especially when the Cubs are on just to listen to Hughes & Santo, just because he enjoys them so much.

And, before we get too giddy—the Padres haven’t lost a series @ Wrigley since 1999.
Please, three out of four….please…..
