Where did the Cubs stay in Cinci?

Does anyone know which hotel the Cubs stayed at in Cincinatti last week?  They often stay in the Westin, but I just wanted to double-check.  I am making plans for a future series.  Thanks in advance.

Does anybody else have any recommendations for good cities to road trip to?  Atlanta?  Philly?  Arizona?  Pittsburgh?  I was really hoping for a Cubs / Red Sox matchup this year (although the availability for those tickets would be absolutely crazy).

I'm almost certain it's the Westin

They’ve been staying there for years. If not there, I believe they used to stay at the Hyatt, which is a block or two from the Westin. Both are right downtown—in fact, I think the players walk from the hotel to GABP.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see the Cubs in a lot of cities. My favorites are Pittsburgh (beautiful ballpark and seriously underrated city), Denver (another great ballpark, nice surrounding area with lots of places to eat/drink, and the Rocky Mountains aren’t shabby, either), and Milwaukee/St. Louis/Cincy (the cities are fine, but the thing that makes those places fun are the sheer numbers of Cubs fans in each park. In Milwaukee and Cincinnati, it’s almost like an invasion. In STL, it’s the give and take with Cardinals fans). Milwaukee has a lot of cool neighborhood bars, and Cincy has Cincinnati-style chili.

I’d recommend any of those places enthusiastically. We’re going to the series in Toronto this year. I have relatives in Toronto and have been there a few times in the past and like it very much - it’s a lot like Chicago. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to the Cubs-Rays series in Tampa Bay, which might be home to the best restaurant on earth - Berns Steak House (if you go, the Dessert Room is a must-try).

Interesting note.

The Cubs used to list the hotels where they stayed on the road in the media guide. That list isn’t in this year’s media guide—I suspect for security/privacy concerns.

I noticed that, too

That info always used to be in the media guide. But if you ask around a little, it isn’t hard to find out where they’re staying.

Duly noted.

Nanika Ga Okoru!

Oh, and remember, folks: Alfonso Soriano is NOT batting leadoff. He's batting first.

Want to See The Cubs Kinda Cheap?

Cincy always has relatively low ticket prices. Ticket availability is not a problem. You can find some cheap places to stay south of the Ohio River in Ft. Wright, Ft. Mitchell, and Florence, KY. There are more Cubs fans there than Reds fans. Houston is not a bad place, but it’s a little more expensive. Again, like Cincy, ticket availability is not a problem. You can find some cheap places to stay by Hobby airport. Minute Maid Park is a cool park to visit. GABP in Cincy is fine, but a little on the ordinary side. About the cheap stuff, I can’t do anything about bringing down gas prices or airline fares.
