Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Alumni news

This post contained an article completely copied/pasted from another source. There wasn't a single word written by the poster, so I deleted all of it.

This is just another reminder: you can't do that here. That's a copyright violation and can get me and BCB in legal trouble.

The usual procedure is to put a link to the source, maybe copy a paragraph or two, and write something yourself.

It was about The Former Employee's new troubles. If the original poster would like to fix this, that'd be great.

Thanks for understanding.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

I think that will do it...

...for this year. I don’t see Prior being able to push himself knowing he has a tear.

He will probably try and throw again, have discomfort and they will schedule another scope.

surprise surprise

wow!! Mark Prior is injured what a shock. I do feel bad for Mark and he was one of my favorites. It really is a shame.

Look Toward the Future

Ah, I’m sure Mark will make some relief appearances in the years of 2010 – 2011. Hang in there lil trooper…

Well...

He was a big part of the 2003 team. You can’t help but like the guy just for all the memories he’s given us.

Well...

As I said before, I appreciated what he did in ‘03. In fact, he was one of my favorite ball players and I backed him all through those injury filled years. However, my faith in him wavered once he got this ego that the Cubs owed him before he left. He was mad at the Cubs and made it known through the press. If he would have taken the higher road, and not whined so much before leaving, Prior would still be one of my favorite ball players, regardless of injury.

Right...

It seems to me that the Cubs started assassinating Prior’s character through the media long before he made any comments regarding the Cubs.

Oh?

Hmmmm… I don’t remember that. You might be right, though I seriously don’t remember it that way. I remember when he came back this last time and pitched horribly. He started several games and looked terrible. The Cubs wanted him to spend some time in the minors, and he said some negative comments about the organization to the press. Those childish remarks were pointed toward the same organization that spent a lot of time and money on a pitcher that performed for only a season and a half. I believe that was the beginning of the end right there…

Please, correct me if I am wrong though. Thanks.

You're not wrong.

That’s exactly the way I remember it too.
