OT: Getting married today

Just thought I'd share my joy.  It's 3:30am, and I'm getting married today at 2:00pm - still trying to get everything ready with the pictures and the honeymoon packing and stuff.  Gonna be a long day for me tomorrow.  Anyways, I'll miss the 2nd half of the game tomorrow, so if we could find a way to load the bases prior to the game so Soriano's leadoff HR will put us up 4-0, that will ease my stress level for the day.

But I'm moreso posting about our honeymoon, and I thought I'd post this now because I don't know if I'll have much internet access next week.  We're going to NYC for a week catching some plays and 2 Yankees games, and then we'll be in Chicago for a week, where we will see five Cubs games.  I told her we had to go for at least 3 Cubs games, and she suggested one more, and then hinted on wanting to sit in the bleachers another day, so we got a 5th pair of tickets.  So if you see some Mississippi kids walking around Wrigley a week and a half from now, yell at us.

We'll stop by and say hey, Al - we're in the bleachers two days.  You may not remember, but I'm the guy you saved a seat for the last home series of the year last year against the Pirates - my plane arrival time almost made me miss the first pitch but I just barely made it.  I still appreciate that - the bleachers were PACKED that day, and it woulda been REAL hard getting a seat.  That was my first time in the bleachers, and I had a blast.  Coincidently, I scored playoff tix and flew up from MS and sat in the bleachers again in October, but that didn't turn out as well as my previous bleacher experience.

Anyways, I gotta stop procrastinating.  Looking forward to being back home at Wrigley.  Go Cubs!

-Ryan

Congrats man

Ha ha I can definitely see myself doing the same thing you’re doing in years from now, posting on BCB the night before my wedding, and my main worry is that I’ll miss the second half of the Cubs game the following day. But yeah, brownbuddha nailed it, a wife that wants to go to 7 baseball games for a honeymoon, DON’T LET HER GO! She’s a rare breed! Good luck to you guys in your future.

The wedding was FANTASTIC

Thanks for all the congratulations / prayers / best wishes, etc. Everything went great – wedding was quick, free of tears, and couldn’t have been better, except that I refreshed the Cubs game on my phone RIGHT before the groomsmen and I walked out, and saw we were down 5-4. I guess I’ll give the Pirates 1 of 7, though. But no more! SO excited to be going to NYC and CHI with my wife. Gotta catch up on that sleep now, though.

Makes a post before the wedding and then comes back here after …haha..I love it!
Hope the married life is great to both of you and that you see a World Series with the Cubs winning this year.

Now that's what I call a honeymoon!

I loved Cancun for my honeymoon, but weeks worth of late spring Cubs games rivals it! Congrats and enjoy!
