Dempster's second hanging slider.
But I wish the fans would keep their hands to themselves. You would think, of all the teams in MLB, our fans would understand that none of us watch the games to watch a stupid fan mess with a ball in play.

It is normal for fans
to go for the ball. Yeah it sucks when it hurts us but it is a natural reaction.
by bubbamike the one and only on May 31, 2008 1:32 PM CDT up reply actions
Though this time
they really didn’t do anything wrong. It just bounced off the dude’s stone hands in the front row, and rebounded back onto the field.
"I love when they play that Go Cubs Win song."
I know that's what people say...
that it’s a natural reaction. But really, what are you going to do with that ball after you get it? What’s the big deal? I can understand if you are far away from the field of play. But if you are close, how about letting the game take it’s course?

It may not matter to you
but they have an embedded digital rights chip that renders downloaded books inaccessible after two years.
Really?
I thought Amazon heavily touted the DRM-freeness of their downloads. But perhaps that’s limited to just the music.

I tried to find the reference
but wasn’t successful so I can’t stand by the statement. I read the limitation in a blog shortly after it came out. Can’t verify it though
Books you buy on Amazon
do have DRM but I don’t think that they disappear after 2 years. I think that once you buy a book you can always download it from Amazon again and again.
