If you have a guy that CAN bunt...

...you should do it every so often to keep defenses honest against you and open up some holes in the infield. With nobody on ahead of you, it’s not a bad idea.

SACRIFICE bunting is often a tool of evil, but bunting for a base hit is a powerful weapon when used sparingly.

The sacrifice can be the correct choice...

...if you have a speedier guy that can get some singles/reach on errors out of it. But mostly its value is when one run wins you the game – not could, not might, but DOES.
