OT: Police Concert Tickets STILL Available
UPDATE!
I still have these two tickets for Saturday night. Will consider all reasonable offers and meet you at the show.As some of you already know (because I've removed your posts for individual tickets), I've asked people not to post individual game tickets here, but to do everything in the Ticket Exchange section.
However, since it's my site, I'm making an exception for myself.
I have a pair of tickets for the Police and Elvis Costello concert this Saturday, May 10, at the Allstate Arena. They are in section 104, row H -- right at the side of the stage. Tickets one section over (103) are $250 face; this pair is $95 each, plus TM fees, making them $110 each.
If you want them, email me using the link on the left sidebar. I'll meet you at the show, since these tickets are adjacent to mine.
Thanks for indulging me. When I sell them, this post will disappear.

That's way overpriced
Tickets for this concert are going for way below face.
I’d lower my price if I were you

Like I said...
... these tickets are only one section over from the $250 seats. I’d argue they ARE a bargain at $110.

Al made an offer to sell tickets at face value...
on HIS blog. Did you really need to come and piss all over this post? With links and all that?
Seems pretty rude. If you’re not interested, why not stay out of it?

Good luck
I hope you find someone willing to take them, but the fact is the $250 tickets are going for a fraction of the cost. The two most recent sales on eBay each saw $500 worth of tickets (two $250 seats) for $89 and $81
The last sale before those two, directly opposite of yours, actually did better, though still 50% off: http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Police-with-Elvis-Costello-Allstate-Arena_W0QQitemZ200221143036QQihZ010QQcategoryZ16122QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Do you promise..
I’ll hear “Roxanne” and “Watching The Detectives”? ..j/k. I’ll think about it, b/c I’ve never seen The Police. I’ve seen Elvis a couple times. Once, at the Vic I think, it was an XRT promo, everyone got in at a discount if they wore “red shoes”. Then during the concert Elvis had a Wheel Of Fortune type thing with all his songs on it, and before every song he would spin it and play the song the wheel landed on. Too cool!

You should hear those songs...
... they played them at the Wrigley Field show last summer, so they should play them again.

By any standard...
It’s probably rare for Elvis to go thru a concert without playing “Watching The Detectives” or “Alison.”
The first time I saw Elvis was on his Imperial Bedroom tour (1982?). I’ve probably seen him nearly every year since then.
The last time I saw The Police was at the grand old Comiskey Park. Sat in the grass of left-center field. Great show.

Inflation, frustration...
I’ll be at the concert too. I hope The Police play their ode to an inflatable doll, Be My Girl – Sally, and dedicate it to Carol Sleazhack.

Already going
Already going. In fact a taxi will be pulling into my driveway in a few minutes depositing a friend and her husband from another internet group who flew in for it, the Cubs tomorrow and to attend a friend in the group’s wedding Sunday afternoon. Can’t wait to see this friend we’ve been net friends for 8 years and never met in person. So she and her husband are flying in we’re doing Hackney’s tonight Cubs game tomorrow afternoon and the concert Saturday night and the wedding Sunday.
Is the Goofy Redhead starting tomorrow? That would make it sweet.
We are all waiting for that glorious October night when we finally win it all. Until then we will continue to cheer, never do the wave and hope.

Al if they let you roam at all I will stop by and say hey if there’s time before the concert.
But I’m going to be in the bleachers a few times this year so finally we will meet in person.

I was at the show
My friend and I were, literally, in The Most Nosebleedy Seats – the very last row in the top tier.
But, we still had a great time, even despite missing most of Elvis Costello due to the traffic we encountered coming from Indiana.
The set list for this leg of the tour can be seen here, and it’s been updated to reflect where they deviated last night.

I'm with 'ya...
... I missed all but Elvis’ last 3 songs. Disappointing, as it was as I’m a HUGE Costello fan, I have seen Elvis literally dozens of times. At least I caught The Police for what probably will be the last time. Jeez, Andy is going to be 65 years old!
The Police put on a very good show. I had read a couple reviews of the last tour (show at Wrigley) and the “professional” reviewers almost made it sound boring. IMHO last nights show was very “rocking.” Even in my nosebleed seats people “danced the night away.”
Al, are you going to post a review? I hope to read your comments.

I hear the parking lot there is divine.
But not as good a place to meet as Wrigley.
