The report of Dome's debut at Wrigley on Monthly Dragons magazine, May 2008 issue.
His replacement, Kazuhiro Wada (aquired from Seibu Lions) is .298, 23 RBIs and 5 HRs in 34 games. So good so far.

It's all well said story for...
...the first week of Dome and the Cubs, including “Guzen dazo” and voices from Pinella, Lee and DeRosa. The headline on right side reads “I will do what I did at Dragons in Japan”.
The spelling of his first name is “Kousuke”.

BTW
Dragons is 21-10-3 (.645) and 2nd place, 2.0 games behind of arch rival Hanshin Tigers who made quick start with 23-10-1.
We have tie games – extra innings will be terminated at 12th.

I knew about the Japanese tie games.
Is there any move there to eliminate them? I am sure you remember the Cubs/Mets game in 2000 that went to 11 innings before ending. I wonder how the Japanese fans would have reacted had it gone past 12 innings.

It was 15 innings previously
Reasons are mostly security and transportation, as most of fans comes with trains/subways and that will be end running by midnight, so kids can’t get home…
Also player’s union is against the move to extending the extra innings, as well as the rematch if tied off. So 12 innings, no-rematch is kinda appropriate now. BTW highschool does 15 innnings in the tournament.
Fans looks like understanding current situation and no reactions or moves to eliminate it…

This makes sense, and...
... I remember worrying about getting back to the hotel had the game in 2000 run about another 30-40 minutes. The cab ride would have been at least $50, probably more.
