Vote For Soto!

How great would it be to see Geo starting at Catcher for the National League in the Mid-Summer Classic?

Offensively, he's been the best at this position in the League up to this point.  Fourth in the League in OPS, Sixth in AVG, and leading all NL Catchers in every major offensive area.  Not to mention the fact that he seems mature beyond his years in working with the staff and calling games.

I'm not sure how well the rest of the League's fans know him so I think its up to us to vote, and vote often, on MLB.com.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

I voted for the following on the NL ballot...

C – Soto
1B – DLee
2B – Utley
SS – Hanley Ramirez
3B – Chipper Jones
OF – Fukudome, Nate McLouth, and Pat Burrell (I was torn between Burrell & Xavier Nady)

and my write in was Berkman (man is he hot right now!)

yep

Those choices are spot on…who would’ve though of that NL outfield before the season started? Granted, there is still loads of time before the All Star break. My MVP at this point would have to be Utley over Jones.

I am biased, but how can you deny Chipper...

Jones .419/.471/.718
ARam .279/.413/.523

Chipper is having a monstrous season...

...but I voted for Cubs across the board, except at shortstop, where I gave it up for Hanley Ramirez.

Nanika Ga Okoru!

Oh, and remember, folks: Alfonso Soriano is NOT batting leadoff. He's batting first.

Hey, to each his own.

Chipper Jones is truly having an amazing season. If it ended today, he’d be the unanimous NL MVP.

Good thing...

It doesn’t end today or we’d be in 2nd place! ; )

And to think

My opponents mocked me when I drafted him in my fantasy league.

Unanimous? Not so fast ...

Chase Utley would garner some votes.
A lot of votes.

Maybe.

But Jones is having an amazing year, one of the biggest reasons the Braves are winning.

Yep...

that’s why i had to vote for him at this EARLY point in the season. I hope Aramis gets a spark and starts and at least makes the team.

Managers Pick

I have a feeling Soto might get a managers pick. I mean offensively how could he not want him on the team?

Its way too early to start voting

I wish theyd wait to open voting until the beginning of July. The season is still too young

Aramis Ramirez- NL MVP
Kosuke Fukudome- NL ROY
