Sorry to beat an old horse, but does everyone remember how down this board was on Dempster in the rotation before spring training?
I have always like
Dempster and hated it when people called him Dumpster. I wanted him to be able to pitch well this season and am very happy that he is.
I was a supporter.
I thought he could do it the second I found out he was running out that mountain.

Sneaky power was something that Len said about Fontenot after one of his home runs.
It’s a running gag around here – we refer to him as a hamster because of his hair, and so I appropriated Hamtaru as Fontenot’s stand-in.

What?
Anyone else notice on ESPN, here in the top of the 7th, they had a graphic on the screen comparing the two starting pitchers, and showed Dempster’s line, but they had 1 ER showing! I thought I missed an ATL score while fixing a sandwich, but it was still 7-0. I am sure it was a typo, but still odd how the grand magnate which is ESPN would make a mistake like that.

Pretty simple, actually - someone made a typo.
We have a (much less fancy) version of the same software and hardware they use for their CGs – character generator – where I work at, and I assure you that keeping that thing updated live and doing as much with it as they do has to be a real involved effort. You make mistakes when you do TV live.
So is it outsourced news, (oversimplified generalization)?

Prediction time
With the injury of one of the star players on a first place team with the best record in baseball, the lead story on Sportscenter tonight will be 20 minute special-interest piece on how life has changed for Joba Chamberlain since becoming a starter for the Yankees. This will be followed by the replaying of Sunday Conversations with Joba’s pet goldfish and his thoughts on his master’s move.
And then the Yankee and Red Sox highlights, of course, and one more 40 minute in-depth analysis on the Celtics-Lakers series by Stephen A. Smith.
