Retro broadcasts in WGN history
Since this seems like an appropriate day, I’m wondering if anyone else remembers the last WGN retro broadcast? I think it was in 1998, and I seem to remember Chip Caray doing a spoof shaving cream advertisement during an inning, as well as more faithful reproductions of 40s-50s-60s-70s graphics progressively throughout the game.
As for today, the throwbacks are nice but I thought the attempts at producing a retro broadcast was rather half-hearted and clumsy.

i love it
best 6 1/2 hour drive ever in the summer… no fun in the winter w/ a rear wheel drive sports sedan though…
most of WI is no fun in the winter!
