i'm sure lou keeps track of marmol's outings and arm durability

They’re dumbfounded. Marmol’s “slider” shouldn’t be called a slider, but a Marmol’er

yeah but
he was pitching in a groove and then lost it. Just frustrated with him I guess. We need Marquis to step it up, if we want to keep winning.

Nice win
Especially against one of the elite pitchers…Halladay. Not let’s take the series.
Can't think of a more fun way to set up a new comp than
while watching the Cubs win. Talk about painless!
take care everyone.. cya during the week gotta work during game time tomorrow.. sigh...

The cubs are facing Litsch tommorow
solid pitcher, he has a solid ERA (3.42), decent SHIP (1.28), but batters are hitting 287 against him.
Come on Phillies
I have a feeling the Cards are now going to go through a losing stretch. They may have a great manager, but without their ace and best hitter, I don’t think they will last against teams that are above 500.
damnit!
I thought the game started at 7!

Boo Cards..
Hope the Phils put another 20 spot on em…
"Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball." - Jacque Barzun
Hate to be over-confident...
but I hope the Phils and Cards split all their games. I realize the Cubs won’t be handed the Central, but I view the Phillies as a bigger threat because I think they have the talent to steal home field from the Cubs in the playoffs. I’m just….not sold on the Cards holding up.
This team obviously needs home field in the playoffs. Speaking of, go NL in the All-Star game. Because. It. Counts.
Free Ronny Cedeno
Indeed
The Phillies are a big threat. Utley, Howard, Hamels, Rollins…they have a strong core. I like their team and to beat them the Cubs need pitching. The offense of the Phillies>offense of the Cubs (slightly), but the SP and RP goes to the Cubs (again, by slight margin). These teams are similar, but that can all change by acquiring a number 2-3 pitcher.
Defensively
The Phillies infield is better. The OF goes to the Cubs.
Hey Al
about your comment at the top of the thread, yeah, with Halliday pitching it could be over and it was, but for the Jays! This team just keeps coming back. I love it. And I hope to see it continue all the way into the October Classic!
I started watching The Cubs back in he days of Dick Drott, Glen Hobbie, Lee Walls, Ernie and still remember the first home run I saw in person hit by Hank Sauer. This Cub team is the best!

Have 2 extra tickets for tomorrow's (6/15) game in toronto
16 Rows from the field, just past the Cubs dugout in section 115, on the aisle. Looking for face value of $60 each, or best offer. I can meet you tonight or tomorrow before the game.
Please call Bryan at 608.213.5847 if you are interested.
I'm more worried about how we do
than how the Cards do. If we keep it up then we don’t have to worry about them. Let’s keep our fate in our own hands.
