Who would have thought?
Ryan Dempster (8-2) vs. Scott Kazmir (6-2) might be an all-star match up, not only does Dempster have more wins he also has more K's 75-54 than highly touted Kazmir. If the we get 3 runs tonight might be enough with the way Dempster is rolling. Should be a great series against the Rays, a team that has gone 26-11 at home. Hopefully Sweet Lou P. did not give away to many secrets when he coached the old Devil Rays.

Dempster has been unbelievable this year. Let’s hope he pitches well this weekend against the White Sux.

whoops
not highly touted, he is a stud. Didnt he lead the league in Ks last year? This is the main reason I am looking forward to this series, to see him pitch.

Dude
all we want is our Ocama GameSphere.
I'm thinking you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling, so why don't we just ignore each other til we go away.

Agh! Not to step on Al's toes, but your title doesn't really speak to what the content is about.

LMAO
However, I would agree—please title posts with what’s inside! It makes people more likely to read your posts.

Six more Dempster starts
Kazmir missed the first month of the season, so his K total is going to be lower than Dempster’s and it is difficult for him to have more wins with six fewer starts. Right now Kazmir’s K/9 (9.40) dwarfs Dempster’s ratio (7.57). Kazmir has the better ERA and WHIP as well and has to face DHs a bit more often. Looking solely at starting pitching, I see the nod going to the Rays, so let’s hope that the Cub offense shows up with some fire and pounds another LHP.

Dempsters had a bigger sample size
and I think he’s more consistent. I don’t know though it’s a good matchup.

This is a test of our team....
Maybe Kazmir is due for a slight loss of command…..we can only hope. If he gets the tar whipped out of him, the Rays will go for the Marquis for Kazmir deal…....
