Around SBN: 2012 NBA All-Star Game Starters Announced

RE: Overflow Thread 2: Cubs vs. Rays, Thursday, 6/19

I came back in the house and posted on the overflow thread for Thursday's blow out in Tampa. I just wanted it to be read, as my post was over an hour later than the last.

Star-divide

First, I want to tell Shanghai that my prayers are with him/her. Best of luck to your mom, I hope your medical care is better than where we live.

Who is eamus-catulii? I mean besides a true asshole? Y'all are fighting over a bad game by a good team. We are playing shorthanded and our guys deserve a bad game. Speaking of playing shorthanded, I want to add some true perspective.

Since 9 -11, my friends in NY have been taking care of two kids who will never know their real parents. Our friends died in the Towers.

I have a nephew now in Florida. Every time he breathes, he smells the mixture of jet fuel and human bodies. He can't bear the sound of any aircraft. HE still has nightmares of folks who jumped rather than burn.

The point is that, as rabid fans, we need to get it together and realize that baseball is entertainment, just a distraction from real life. Getting pissed at this team is a healthy reaction BUT…..Shanghai's situation is much more serious. There are folks all around the world who could just DREAM that their biggest problem was their favorite team getting their asses handed to them by ANOTHER great team. Use this series as a scouting report for the WS….

GET SOME PERSPECTIVE!!!! We got swept. It isn't the end of the world. So, our tired guys played a tough series and lost. I am NOT happy by the road trip, but really…..eamus, you need to be beat rather badly. Sorry, folks, I just believe that some folks do not deserve to run unimpeded through life. I hope your sorry ass is never shown here again.

God bless you Shanghai, and my prayers and best wishes to you.

And in the words of Forrest Gump, that's all I have to say about that.

You don't have to go very far either

There are many people in the western part of Illinois and into Missouri and Iowa who wish that their biggest problem was that the Cubs lost 3 games to a good team.
