Parking Question
I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Elementary Education. For a graduation gift, my girlfriend, a Cubs fan of 6 years (not by choice) bought me the entire Cubs/Orioles series. We are driving over from Pittsburgh and staying with relatives in Coal City. We will be driving up for the games on Tuesday and Wednesday and will have a hotel for the Thursday game because we have to leave right after that.
I have never had to drive to Wrigley. I have always had a hotel and took the L to the game. Hotels were ridiculously expensive this time. Anyways, I was wondering where would be a good place to park. I realize it will be expensive but I just need to know of a place to park.
Al, I plan on stopping by for the first game and maybe sitting with you guys if thats ok. I am at Wrigley once or twice a year but never stopped by to say hello. Left field bleachers up at the top if I remember from before...
P.S. What a game today!!!!

If you are driving for the day game...
... you can find street parking. I wouldn’t say it’s easy, and you need to watch the street parking restrictions but if you can get there 2 hours or so before game time, you can park without too much trouble.
For night games, that’s another story. Private lots in the area run about $25-$30 depending on who’s running them. Again, get there early because otherwise you’ll be dealing with a lot of traffic.
Section 301, LF corner, is where to find me. We should have room for you but get there early.

For night and weekend games...
...there’s no reason I can think of not to use the DeVry University remote parking operation. They run a shuttle to and from the ballpark, and it’s cheaper, more convenient and less aggravating than any parking in Wrigleyville. If nothing else, you avoid most of the traffic.
The cost? Only six bucks.
send me an email
I have an extra spot available half a block away from park

I live near Coal City
I drive to Midway, park for a buck in the El lot, and ride the El in. Cheap, fast, easy. That’s what I’d recommend – that or emailing the guy offering his parking space in the comment above this.
This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.

Park in the lot that is a block or so east on Addison
Cost is $25 and access is via the side street. You’re not going to do much better than that. If you are looking to save dough then take the shuttle from Devry. Street parking? It’s insane to think you have a shot at finding anything. But if you have a spare hour or two and the gas to troll around the side streets hoping a spot might open up? Then go for it I guess.

About street parking...
... virtually every street surrounding the park is restricted during night games—don’t even try.

Seriously!
My girlfriend was a Brewers fan and I tried to force her to become a Cubs fan and now she says she hates baseball!

We always had luck with getting there about
an hour to hour and half early and just paying to park behind someones building two or three blocks from Wrigley. Most people ask around $25 and this way your car isn’t on the very narrow streets. When we stay with the inlaws in Rockton, we drive to El station out by OHare and ride it in.

If you don't mind the walk
For night games I parked about 1+ mile South on Clark St. and walked to the park. Just look for where the parking restrictions are lifted. I remember it being between Fullerton (2400N) and Diversey (2800N).
Otherwise, parking at DeVry at Rockwell (2600W) and Addison is OK for the $6. They have a shuttle to take you to and from the ballpark. Going back though it’s always a jamm session with hundreds of other waiting to go back also.
For day games, a couple blocks West of the park just North of Waveland has always proven good for me. There’s been a few times where I got close to Ashland (1600W) but that’s not too bad for a free spot on the street.
If you want a lot, the one on Grace St almost immediately a block+ North of the park is also OK. Don’t know what they charge there; likely $20 or so.
