Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Phils, Astros complete Roy Oswalt deal

jim edmonds or jimmy edmonds

Do we finally except the ex-card as a Cubbie?

Edmonds is batting .311 with 4 homers and16RBIs in 25 games since joining our Beloved Cubs. Judging by the crowd reaction and my reaction saturday on the golf course(doing my impression of riding a bull). Yes i had a radio to listen to the ronnie and pat. Jimmy was a good call by Jim Hendry. Let's go CUBBIES 32-8 at home i'll be on leave in a few weeks can't wait to go to a game. only a few more weeks

When he does good

My Friends and I call him Jimmy Dongs when he is hitting well…

When he does bad, he is called Jimmy Dungs.

If he does his job, he is fine with me…

Jedmonds is a Cub for now &

seeing that he has been playing well makes it that much easier (&fun) to cheer for him.

Jim "thank goodness the Cubs acquired him" Edmonds

Edmonds has been a quality acquisition. I think he adds a respected presence in the dugout as well. Jim Hendry hit the mark on both Reed Johnson and Edmonds.

GET Rich Harden !!! 10 starts, 4-0, 59 IP, 72 Ks, 2.44 ERA !!!

What I can't wait for

is to see Jimmy light up the Cards the first time he plays them in a Cubs uniform. That’s going to be a fun day.

Less than two weeks away.

It’ll be interesting to see the reaction of the Cardinal fans.

Getting in the mind of the Jimmy

You know…Jimmy is pretty sweet on you.
Oh yeah! Jimmy’s been watching you….you’re just Jimmy’s type.
Jimmy’s new in town. Jimmy doesn’t really know anyone.
Jimmy would like to get to know you.
Jimmy’s got some new moves.
Check Jimmy out
“Ooohhh!!!!! JIMMY’S DOWN.
Jimmy doesn’t like misunderstanding.
Jimmy and misunderstanding kinda clash.

hes done a quality job

both defensivelt where he has done well and now he is swinging the bat well also. Also, did anyone else notice how Ozzie told the media he would always pitch to edmonds and that Jim didn’t scare him and then Dotel intentionally walked him the next game to set up the righty on righty matchup. I found that funny.

It was a very low risk move, that ended up working out for the best!

OT: Baseball alive at old Tiger Stadium site
I have to admit, i didn't expect this to work, and i generally don't condone ratting somebody out, but i think Woo Woo inspires special circumstances.

He was a few rows above me and a group of maybe a hundred other University of Iowa alumni last night, and started right in with the wooing early and loud. Between innings, he was... how shall i say this... creeping around? We all know his reputation.

Within 10 minutes of making a complaint to the Cubs text line, he was gone. Might be worth trying in future instances.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality... just got a new phone (HTC EVO) and am not sure how to take screen caps yet.
