F--king pitiful.
Bases jacked no outs and you get nothing. Lou better turn over some tables in there, because that type of crap is completely unsat.

yeah probably maybe far
but Ronny’s AB was awful, and set the tone for the rest of inning

If Cedano got to play more than once a month

3 absolutely horrid, putrid, awful, inept, bush league AB's end the game.

Way too much messing with the lefty-righty matchups there early on...
we just don’t have a deep enough bench for that

it had to happen sometime. They battled back well.
Don’t know what was up with Cedeno and those pitches. We were chasing some dirt there. :(
sigh

Oh well. It happens
ALTHOUGH all 3 of them should get a reaming for fucking swinging at horrible pitches especially Ronny. If he gets you twice up high, where do you think he’s going for strikE 3 DAMN

+1
Ronny, Dome, and Blanco looked lost up there

more angry w Ronny than Kosuke or Hank
Sherril was all over the place, going to 3 balls on all 3 previous hitters (I think). Take till he throws a strike. That bad, especially swinging at questionable first pitch and a second at your eyes lets the guy settle a bit. Can’t blame Fooky too much vs lefty w sweeping breaking ball. I expect Blanco to look sad. Might have preferred Big Z there if he was healthy.
We desperately need a RH hitter on the bench
Murton, Cedeno, and Blanco are not going to cut it.

Ok, Blanco has to stay,
but Murton and Cedeno are not going to cut it. I’d (tongue in cheek – sort of) rather see Z or Marquis at the plate than either of those two right now.

the pressure is on the pitcher to throw strikes. All three guys helped him out waaaay too much!

wasn't the idea with Murton to call him up to add to his trade value
I don’t see that happening as of right now

Dang it...if only the Cubs had RJ
Then he would have been up there instead of Cedeno!
Oh well,
if nothing else – the refusal to quit tonight made a statement for the rest of the series. Plus, most of the team got an AB against Sherrill – that will come in handy the next two days.
Let’s hope for another streak starting tomorrow.

Holy shit, the select Debbie Downers are in full effect again.
For the love of God, stop saying that certain Cub players are horrible, because ALL of the people who are bitching right now were on that same exact band wagon when said players were on a hot streak (like Cedeno, Blanco).
Sometimes I can’t even stand the people on this blog, or Cubs fans like you guys who whine and complain so much after one loss.
"I think Hendry still has a few years to serve on his 'grand larceny' sentence before he can shop in Pittsburgh again" - ballhawk
Well...
...it was just a bad way to go out, ya know? We left what, 5 guys stranded in the last two innings? And it’s typical to overreact after a tough loss. I think tonight’s banter was much, much more improved than previous days.

Evey Hammond: Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici. V: By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.
Yeah...most fans lose hope right away...even after one loss
People expect this team to be stacked from top to bottom, but obviously not every hitter on this team is a D-Lee, Aram etc. i’m not worried, the Cubs had their number 5 pitcher up there and they had their number 1 pitcher. Guthrie owned the Cubs for majority of the night.
all?

Well we got good matchups the rest of series
as long we get the good Lilly tomorrow we should take 2 out of 3. I was watching the game on MASN, but did WGN say anything about when Z might start throwing (even if not off a mound)
