That's a great beer, but

They can be really, really good.

But you’ve got to like hoppy styles and most have a bit of coriander, as well. Try Duvel for the lighter style and Chimay Cinq Cents for the darker style. Both are great beers.

Anyone listen to mlb radio on their mobile phone?

I just noticed that they charge you $4.99 per month even if you have a subscription on your pc? Seems like a ripoff…..

by LT on Jun 25, 2008 7:24 PM CDT reply actions

Well

Most of that money they probably have to give to your mobile provider, who has to carry the extra traffic. With the Internet to your PC, MLB doesn’t have to share the revenue with anyone since it uses the public internet.

by Madison Cub Fan on Jun 25, 2008 7:27 PM CDT up reply actions

It's depending on passed balls I believe

Passed balls is what cost the fielding percentage of the pitcher to decline.

by Geo4MVP on Jun 25, 2008 7:29 PM CDT up reply actions

catcher stats...

have nothing to do with passed balls. Fielding percentage is putouts and assists divided by total chances (putouts, assists and errors)

Yesterday's game

I think we’ll benefit tonight, and tomorrow as well, by the O’s having had to go to their pen last night when it at first looked like blowout.

Exactly. They’ll be forced to enjoy the taste of bullpen stew as we’ve been forced to on many occasions this year.

These are the saddest of possible words: "Tinker to Evers to Chance"

by slcathena on Jun 25, 2008 8:13 PM CDT up reply actions

well it would be a huge upset in terms of seeding

because they’re teh equivelant of a 15 seed in the March Basketball Tourney making it to the final game. But since they’ll have won a best of 3 series I don’t buy an “upset” in that way.

by halfblindcubbiegirl on Jun 25, 2008 8:14 PM CDT up reply actions

Sure. I agree with that.

I also don’t know enough about how diverse talent/resources are in college ball to know for sure…but like bigger than the Miracle on Ice or something? No way.

the only thing consistent

about it is the inconsistency. But Lilly is not getting anything high. He seems to like to throw high strikes. Too bad. He (Ted) is a big boy, he will adjust.

None of the three "strikes"

he called on Fontenot’s 1st AB were strikes, according to Gameday.
