It’s baseball. Does Kansas even have a baseball team?
Please show me in this particular discussion where any reference of "baseball" is made
I had no idea WHICH PARTICULAR national championship was being discussed, so I referenced one of the two major college sports – college basketball.

So Geo4MVP, to answer your question about Ron Santo in a WS game
I’m not sure he’d survive it, but I think he’d be okay with that he’d be so happy to be there.

Because Lilly gave up FOUR runs, it’s not an official ‘quality start’. That’s for 3 runs or less.

Beasley has personal issues. He's also a defensive liability.
None of that is applicable to Rose.

I agree on the defense front...
...but not on the personal issues. His personal issues are like “carrying 4 cell phones”, “going to fraternity parties”, and “moving his family across the country for one year of college”. Immaturity, sure. But no, he’s not a personal issue.
And I’d argue that Rose is greatly benefiting (and alas, Beasley hurting) from having a good coach with NBA ties. Frank Martin has been a coach of what, high school teams? Calipari has been an NBA coach, and I’m sure knows how to dine his peers. Beasley signed on to be apart of the Kansas State team coached by HIGGINS, and was swayed into staying after he left. That, IMO, is the big difference in disparity between the two players – coaching and coaching networking. If Beasley was at a bigger D1 school, he’d be #1.
