OT: BCB Fantasy Football League

I know that there were some fantasy football leagues on here last year. Well, I thought I'd organize one with people from the site. Here are the details:
12 team h2h league
1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 WR/RB, TE, K, DEF
6 pts all TD. 25yds passing = 1 pt, 10 yds Rush/Rec= 1pt, 1 pt per reception
-2 for INT, FUM L
DEF std scoring (see site)
I scheduled the draft for Tuesday night 7/1 at 7:30 so it will end right in time for the Cubs-Giants game at 9:05.
email me if interested and I will invite you to the league. Please join only if you are able to make the draft on Monday night. Don't bother joining if you plan on drafting Rex Grossman or the Bears' DEF in the first 10 rounds.

this will be my favorite of my 4 teams this year… i’d play more but that’s all they let you have for free, and i’m cheap :-)
speaking of which, we gonna play for any specific prizes? i’d be happy to pitch in $10 or $20 to play for a jersey and a 2nd place prize or something along those lines

I’m doing it only for fun so it doesn’t matter really who gets hurts or loses a job. It’ll just be practice for my real pay league a month later. :)

Yeah it’s early, but here’s the thing:
The prime Yahoo draft times are hard to get before the season starts. Also good practice for “real pay” leagues.

Funny FFB story
I was playing in my big $$$ league against my rival friend, and I was down 10 points on Sunday night and I had Andre Johnson playing in the Sunday night game. AJ goes on to get a TD and 50 yds, putting me ahead by 1 pt.
On the last play of the game, the Texans had the lead and the ball with 3 seconds left on 4th down. Instead of punting, they hand the ball back to AJ and he runs 29 yards backwards to run out the clock. This gets counted as a rush of -29 yds, and therefore -2.9 points. It may have been the worst loss ever.

i've got one...
this season i decided to play fantasy basketball… not a big fan, just wanted something to do… i have a sick draft, kobe, caron butler, just a ton of sick talent… I’m virtually undefeated… I clinched a playoff spot with like 8 or 9 weeks left in the season… cakewalk, right? so i’m in the finals, it’s a saturday and a bunch of my guys weren’t playing on Sunday (including Kobe, Caron… all of them) so I promptly decide to hit the waivers and free agents, drop almost my entire team, and pick up all the best availables who were playing sunday…
Moral of this story: always double check when you league ends! We played until Tuesday of the following week… dude I was playing went and picked up all the guys I dropped, and beat my ass… oops!

At least count we need 5 more players… if you haven’t played Fantasy Football before, it’s easy, and it’s actually pretty fun, even if you don’t like or care about football. I’d love to fill the league up with BCB contributors… it’s gonna be a blast, so get in touch with Fukumeter and get the password… now! :-)

Worst case scenario
you could make the league public tomorrow morning and let anyone join… at least it would fill up… otherwise somebody could end up w/ a bye every week… which really isn’t that much fun…
