wow serious?

The stadium was playing hey hey hey good bye….. wow thats some class…...

by WaterRooster on Jun 27, 2008 4:17 PM CDT   0 recs

They've been doing it since the late 70's

The Sox have always done that at home games since the 70’s—originally Nancy Faust, who originally popularized the song at games in that context (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nancy_Faust), on the organ and later through the stadium PA when she wasn’t playing every game.

just doesn’t have the record because the team didn’t score runs for him

True, maybe I should have said the CUBS

need to learn how to win on the road when he is pitching.

No, I am pleasantly surprised

at his performance so far this year and realize that he will most likely come down to earth as the season goes on. I meant that we will need some road victories with him pitching.

Well

It is the 3rd Inning…

We need to start chipping away at this lead.

Maybe it was fitting that CSN had the Colorado game on prior to this one. If it was the 8th inning we could start crying in our beer.

Falling behind

Trouble is on the horizon if the Cubs keep falling behind. This has been happening with too much regularity. The starting pitching isn’t good enough over the course of the full season for that to continue happening. They are in a pretty significant rut lately, the Sox series notwithstanding, and if they don’t snap out of it soon, the NL Central race will be way tighter than it should be….and soon.

agreed 100%

The starting pitching has been awful (especially rhe last two games, of course. I think they’re really missing Z).

Lou Donaghy???

Did Lou just throw this one in the crapper to begin with??? Look at our lineup. I mean, I know we have a few injuries, but good grief man. All the scrubs are playing at the same time. I wouldn’t call Ward a scrub, but he surely isn’t a fleet footed RF. Patterson, Cedeno, FonteNO, geez….....

by MSCub on Jun 27, 2008 4:21 PM CDT   0 recs

And another thing

The White Sux are the ones who need this game, alot more then we do.

Id rather be Up 4.5 in the division then just 1/2 up like the White Sux.

It's not Just the Pitching

We need to score some runs especially when we load the bases. How many double plays has Lee hit into??
Yes we need pitching but I always hear we should throw the pitchers out and get new ones. Why does Lee get as free pass.
