I hate to say it, but....

the worst thing that ever could have happend to Cedeno is the boost in confidence from April. He takes at bats for granted. He thinks pitchers are actually going to pitch him hard. They throw heat and they keep it around the plate. He needs to understand how to take a better approach. More like the scrappy one.

Just hold em Gallagher.” and then almost as if on cue Jermaine Dye and Joe Crede step up and poop all over my good feelings…....plus we have 2 FOX broadcasters who hold grudges against the Cubs don’t help things….and looks like another starting pitcher is gonna be suck-tac-ular….Alexi Ramirez double….jesus!!!!

Well HE IS TO BLAME

I thought it was bad karma to mention this on the blog but e mailed a few folks
including Al that Lou was SCREWING around with Gallagher by pitching him ON EIGHT
DAYS REST. An extra day can be a good thing an extra 4 days messes pitchers up and this
is far from the first time Lou has done this. He has ZERO understanding of how to use pitchers.
He hates Marquis and wants to keep away from facing the White Sox, nice thought bad execution
He claims he wants Dempster to get an EXTRA start before AS so he leapfrogs him in the rotation

Of course his management of pitchers is no better than his use of postition players. Speed is
GOOD, Defense in a luxury so forget using people who can field their positions where they should
be used. Look I am not the sky is falling type and it is NOT falling but Lou has been screwing this team
up since the start of the season and I admit I have been ranting about it since then
I have no idea what Hendry can do to explain things like do not play E-Pat in the out field and don’ t use your entire bench in 9 innings etc. Instead of helping starters , he helps destroy them.

Someone has to get to Lou .

Lou keeps messing with the rotation. He’s been moved up, back, and sideways. It would have been much easier on everyone if he would have left Gallagher before Dempster. Lou is really over-managing considering it’s only June.

But it is not like this had to happen

There where no rain outs or problems , just Lou messing around
Ok he wanted to move up Marquis to Thursday to keep him out of the series
no problem . How bout Gallagher pitched WED on 5 days rest and that would give you
Lilly, Dempster and Marshall . Young pitchers need a little constistancy and support which
in fairness does not give older pitchers either. He has always been known ( back to Seattle days) as a bad manager for pitchers,

Gallagher's out pitch?

Can someone else figure out what Gallagher’s major league out pitch is? That’s right, he doesn’t have one. 94 up in the zone gets hammered at this level and that little marginal slider isn’t going to get it done. Either get the ball down, find an off-speed pitch or settle in as a middle reliever at best.

And some of you don’t want to trade him? Why? He’s marginal on his best days and age has nothing to do with it. He’s just not that good.

One final Lou rant

Hendry must love him for helping lower the trade value of E-Pat, Murton and now
Gallagher. He sticks E-Pat where he does not belong scaring off the buyers, basically never
plays Murton so who KNOWS how he can play THIS year and mucks up Gallagher
per above.

I am going home and off the internet. If we stall the game maybe the rain will come.
( or we could score a bunch of runs)

You think the red hair increases his trade value?

Or does it scare people away, thinking he’s got a temper?

What is wrong with singles

They score runs instead all the guys left on base. The main reason to play him
NOW and for the last two weeks is that he is a left fielder

Giants series

I would love to stop by and say hello
My Wrigley record is 4-1.
I hate to sound like Blue Mike re Lou but he is driving me nuts, this is a hell of a team
let’s not mess it up.
