am i really in the minority here?!? in my circle of cubs fans he is HATED….not saying you guys are wrong, i’m just really surprised…..

my problem with him is all of his giants/dback stories, they get so old….yah we get it bb, you won a world series and i’m jealous…..he talks as if he was the best catcher to ever play

b/c i’ve NEVER gotten the “i was so great” vibe from Brenley. Ever. I find him self deprecating and charming with lots of fun “when i played” stories.

Don't know

Several years back (during Piazza’s prime with the Mets), Skip Caray had an interesting comment on a Braves broadcast: (paraphrase) “You have to like Piazza. He’s just one of the guys. No entourage, no PR guy, he’s just one of the guys. Does interviews willingly, always willing to talk after a loss or a bad game. A true professional.”

While that might have been a bit hyperbolic considering the Bonds entourage at that time, it still says something about him.

there is this crap with MLB.COM

about your username being associated with a specific IP address. When you move to a different location, you now get blocked by mlb.com. It is crap and false advertising as they sell the product for “watch it away from home” but they block you when you leave home.

Unless you are on a laptop with a wireless 3G card all the time, you will have this problem whenever you try to log in away from your base. It is BS!!
