No, not at all
I just like to point out how wrong he is as much as possible, since, of course, he is never wrong.

Boy, we have gotten some really bad calls this game.
First, the ball/strike calls earlier, that got Lou ejected. Now, we get the bad call on Cedeno’s grounder.

Hey
He hits a weak grounder to second. Even if he’s safe at first, he didn’t help. At least he could try to hit behind the runner. Think before you talk.

The pitcher isn't a moron.
He knows as well as anyone that the hitter wants to hit behind the runner, and he takes that into account when he throws his pitches. It’s not as easy as you suggest.
okay
the snippy “think before you talk” crap needs to stop. be nice to sue, or don’t talk at all.

I'll be honest.
I dislike futball, for the same reasons I dislike hockey and basketball. They all bore me to tears.
Basketball has plenty of stats...

Fair enough.

It was not clever of Blue Mike to announce here that Marshall is not going to last 4 innings. At the same time it would be equally idiotic for us to blame him now that Marshall last 4 innings. Let’s just leave it at that

There are a lot of little complexities like that.
A player can get charged for an earned run without a team getting charged with an earned run, for example.
Two outs, an error is made, pitching change
New pitcher gives up HR—earned run for the new pitcher, unearned for the team
by Shanghai Badger on Jun 29, 2008 8:59 PM CDT up reply actions
Really, I didn't know that
Hey, it's a new century!
by cowsarecool220 on Jun 29, 2008 9:01 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah.
If there was a runner left on the bases when the new pitcher came in, no runs are charged to the pitcher that let that runner on, however.
Also, if a runner on third scores on a passed ball...
...with two outs in the inning, the run is earned if the batter reaches safely, and unearned if the batter is retired or reaches on an error.
I'll just ask you when i'm confused
that’s worked pretty well so far. :-)

he brought up Banks, but then was cut short.

Those people complaining about the ump
Do you think Lou coming out helped our cause? I loved every minute of it, but it doesnt help the cause.
I thought it did, actually
The HP umpire had a look in his eyes after the ejection that seemed like he was shaken a bit. I don’t think it hurt.
by Shanghai Badger on Jun 29, 2008 9:12 PM CDT up reply actions
I think it helped for a while.
But, the ump is pretty inconsistent. The first three pitches to DLee were balls. He swung at strike three because it was the first pitch he got in the strike zone.

plus with the DH there is less to do in-game…
