what did Zambrano sound like last night

"Zambrano chugged into third, pumped his first and let out a primal scream."

So said a columnist last night about the eighth amazing win of the Cubs last night.

Tvnlds37_medium

Does anyone know what kind of primal scream Big Z can make? Was it high pitched, in two languages, guttural ..? Was it qualitatively different then the one he made when Michael Barrett charged at him? I've only been to two games Z pitched at and neither one did he get that pumped.

Details, details. Inquiring minds want to know ..

It was...

... the same noise Godzilla makes in all of his movies. How Z was able to mimic it is beyond me. Of course, maybe it’s him in the Godzilla suit! Maybe one of these days, when he gets fired up enough, he’ll shoot caffeinated radioactivity from his mouth and will blow up the pitchers mound!

Yes, but was it the 60s, 70s or 80s version of Godzilla?

Oh, and remember, folks: Alfonso Soriano is NOT batting leadoff. He's batting first.

wow .. that would have been cool to hear

What sound did he make when he busted that bat over his knee last year?

Well, Next Year is here .. and Jack's century's gotta end some time .. GO CUBBIES!

Haha! It was...

... Without doubt, the 70’s version of Godzilla’s roar. Whats funny is that every time Z goes to the mound, or steps up to the plate, Godzilla’s ‘54 theme should play. Then JIm Edmonds would shout track number 6 from either the dugout or CF!

by TheHawkRules on Jun 3, 2008 1:46 PM CDT up reply actions

it was loud!

I was behind the cubs dugout last night and between the 15,000(30,000 was the announced crowd) cubs fans and Z letting out a king kong yell the place was rocking. Lets hope tonight we get more of the same.
Talking to a Padres season ticket holder last night, he said most people he knows sell their tickets to this series because they hate being overtaken by cubs fans. Isnt that just adding fuel to the fire?
