You can help make Geovany Soto NL Rookie of the Month for May. Balloting is going on here through Sunday, June 8. Here is the official press release:

Fans have until Sunday, June 8th to place their votes. Those who vote online are automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to either the 79th All-Star Game on July 15 at Yankee Stadium or one of the 2008 World Series games.

Other National League nominees include third baseman Blake Dewitt from the LA Dodgers, first baseman Joey Votto from the Cincinatti Reds and relief pitcher Manny Acosta from the Atlanta Braves.

Soto hit .271/.357/.510 during May with 11 doubles, 4 HR and 18 RBI. Go Geo!

Hmm… let’s see… All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium or one of the World Series games…
No doubt about it – I’d go for the WS game, even with no guarantee the Cubs are in it. Seeing as how I’m getting married in September, I love the thought of Bud Selig paying for a mini-honeymoon while we wait until we can afford the real thing.
