Sun-Times Poll Question. Are you hot, or Sox?
Who has the hotter fans, the Cubs or the White Sox? Let's put it to a poll.
Women are encouraged to answer because us eye-candy Cubs males need some support too! It's not easy being this beautiful!
And they aren't on the poll, but let me say I've found some dang hot Cardinals fans too. In fact, I'm marrying one of them.
Anyone ever seen any hot Brewers fans? I mean, you have to get past the smell of bratwurst...

Is this really in the SunTimes?
The whole subject, the fanpost, the poll… a little too weird for me. Are you a woman asking other women to vote? Are you a male asking us males to vote on women fans? I’m confused and would like to withhold my response for now until I get over the weirdness. Thanks.
Go ahead, Z me.
You're marrying a Cardinals fan?
That’ll never work.

I wouldn't go that far...
But now that I think of it, if every cubs fan married a cardinals fan and then raised all their children to be cubs fans, cardinals fans would then become extinct…
But
there’s still Cardinal fans marrying each other. I believe that’s still legal in some states.

I married a Cardinal fan...
Though she was a backslidden Cardinal believer while we dated, she reverted back to her childhood faith after marriage. I think the only reason she did it though was 1) her family are such redbird fans and because of their tugging and pulling. 2) to spite me.
Thanks to many hours of family counseling, long open talks about our feelings, and the fact that she doesn’t make our kids wear the Cardinal outfits her family bought them… we’ve been able to make it.
Thus far….

But yeah, it’s a real poll.
Al, she really doesn’t pay attention to baseball until Sept. 1. At that point, she asks, “Where are the Cardinals?” If the answer is first place or within three or four games, she gets interested. Otherwise, she couldn’t care less.
We started dating in July 2006. Three months later, Cards World Series.
I’m a saint. I really am.
Wow!
She must be really special.
Congrats to you and her both.
Of course the kids will all be raised Cubs fans, no?

Wow, yes, you really are.
As long as she’s not rooting AGAINST the Cubs, you’ll do fine.

This is one of the dumbest polls I have ever seen
I read the article and decided to back out and not even look at the slide show.
This is almost as bad as Alyssa Milano’s Dodger fashion line. It’s baseball, not MySpace.
not just the Dodgers
Her clothing line does apparel for every baseball team, and some football teams too.
Not only is most of it ugly or trashy, but the quality of the fabric and sewing isn’t nearly what it should be for what you pay.

Sorry I was just going on the picture, and upon further review saw that it was a picture of Daley with a Cubs hat on...sorry

hahaha, no worries.
I’m sure a few others don’t know I’m part of the Estrogen Brigade, too.
The pic of Daley is just to be facetious, as he’s a Sox fan. ;-)

This reminded me of

Is she famous? She looks familiar. Damn she’s fine.

I weep for the editors and writers
of old, who are surely rolling over in their respective graves. Sexist banter, and a game of “Who’s Hot? Who’s Not?”? This is yet another example of the reason why papers are dying slow, painful deaths.

This is gay
Debating who has the cutest fans? Please.
Get Rich Harden !! 7 starts, 3-0, 41 IP, 49 Ks, 2.61 ERA
Saying "This is gay" is not acceptable on this site.
Do not do this again.

My apologies
Didn’t mean to offend the gay and lesbian community.
Get Rich Harden !! 7 starts, 3-0, 41 IP, 49 Ks, 2.61 ERA
Wrong on two fronts.
1. In the literal sense, men voting on women’s attractiveness is the opposite of gay.
2. In the sense you were implying, it’s hateful. And ignorant. And small.

And I apologized
The gays and lesbians are a protected class. It was wrong of me to use the word gay in reference to this retarded mamby pamby competition to see who has the best looking fans. Ted Williams would be rolling over in his grave. Except his head because that is chrogentically frozen.

If you're trying to be ironically funny, I get it.
But that, like sarcasm, doesn’t really translate when written.

I agree that the whole poll is silly
and has nothing really to do with baseball.
But I also have to admit that they got me to flip through all the pics so I guess it had the desired effect.
Both of those look Photoshopped.
They’re probably Yankee fans.

What are you implying is wrong with the picture?
It just looks like the same couple in two different settings, nothing more.

I am saying...
...you can’t have it both ways. One picture he is dressed in Cubs gear and the next in (what appears to be) Sox gear. She, at least, appears to be consistent in whoever she is rooting for…
Or, maybe he lost a bet.

I turned a Brewers fan into a Cubs fan.
Granted…she wasn’t a huge Brewers fan or baseball fan for that matter, but you can put another on the board for cute Cubs converts at least.
