who's up for us?

Restraining the urge to get giggly....

It really makes you think

as you watch the Dodgers fans (after their team executed a very good squeeze play) do the wave, barely noticing there is a baseball game going on and we sit here on the edge of our seats (would die for a smell of a ballpark). Do they really deserve a lead over us at all? Plz Cubs pull this win out.

the last few days I have been wondering if Lee's little girl is OK

how do you lose the zone as bad as he has…unless perhaps you have other things on your mind?

I definitely hope I’m wrong. and this is only speculation…nothing bed intended.

Well

This is the first game that I have watched in a long time where I felt that they were just overmatched.

No walks for the offense tonight, swinging at bad pitches, falling asleep on defense.

I just hate to lose a game where the only legit run was in the 1st…

That is the definition of gallow's humor

"We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope."

by californiachicagoan on Jun 6, 2008 11:41 PM CDT up reply actions

Examples from previous years:

“Neifi saved the season for us.”

“Coming in to try to preserve the lead, Roberto Novoa.”

“Dusty’s heading out to the mound… looks like it’s going to be a double switch.”

THAT’S gallows humor.

Other teams need all five of their bench players...
