Sidney Ponson was DFA’d by Texas because of being disrespectful to teammates and I know I might take some heat but he’s been pretty good this year….

he had a 50/50 shot the umps would have awarded two outs anyways

I remember going to an Italian restauraunt in Japan...

...and one of my friends ended up with a soft-boiled egg right on top of his spaghetti. The look on his face was priceless.

When we ordered curry, you could get a raw egg on the side as a garnish. It’d cook as you stir it in. That was great. Now I’m making myself hungry.

Italian restaurants in Japan...

are mostly run not by Italian immigrants… by Japanese…. We do have good one even in Okinawa.

Most of the time we went either for curry or to a Korean place...

...that served the food in cast iron bowls – really can’t remember what it’s called, or to the on-base soba shop. For special occasions there was a wonderful place that brought out hibachi to the tables. I don’t think the Italina restauraunt was anything special.

Nope.

Far less soupy. You’d add your own rice and vegetables and stir it, and it would cook right there on the spot.

They also served kimchee – I’ve seen kimchee in the local grocery store just recently, and been tempted, but I know full well my wife won’t eat it, and I’m afraid of being stuck eating the whole jar by myself.

Now that I look at it again...

...it seems a lot more familiar. But still, the place I ate at (and now I can’t remember the name, augh) was less soupy than that.

Ishigaki Beef is father of Kobe beef

and almost all branded beef in Japan… most of them has Ishigaki Beef DNA. And Kobe beef is nothing more than just one brand amongst series of great branded beefs…. Kobe should be siick out and famous only in US…

Here is Ishigaki Beef BBQ in Ishigaki Island – best BBQ I have ever had..

One more shot of Ishigaki Beef...

... before cooking. Hard to get this in Japan main island, even in Okinawa Island… have to visit Ishigaki Island….
