I think it's important to note the difference between process and results.

Marquis has been getting good results so far this game (subject to change as I write this). But that’s not the same as pitching well.

What a hard position to be in.

Riot battled, man. Fought him off but in the end, power wins. Riot guessed breaking and 95 went past him.

Blame it on the piss poor hitting tonight, not Riot.

Brewers gained a full

game.

Its a long season. This team HAS to learn how to win on the road more consistently.

by The E-Man on Jul 1, 2008 11:42 PM CDT reply actions

This team has to execute better.

They are still not fundamentally sound. Not getting Ward over and in after a lead off double in the 7th cost them the chance at the win.

by Rick B on Jul 1, 2008 11:44 PM CDT reply actions

Begin the begin

The CC sweepstakes may begin now after losing the series to the Sox. CC is pitching tomorrow in the final game against the Sox. IF the Indians are inclined to trade CC I don’t think a win tomorrow changes that. In fact it may be in their interest to have CC pitch well tomorrow and win.

Bench Strength

Logically it should improve once Soriano, ARam, and Johnson return to the fold, but still it might be worth pursuing a couple more solid bats to solidify the bench and spell the regulars twice a week. Guys like Frank Catalanatto and Brad Hawpe come to mind.

Tough loss

Both pitchers are off-and-on types and we came on the short end of that stick.

I was watching the game while listening to the A’s/Angels, so I was pretty baseballed up.
