Look guys, lets try to get over that fiasco in the ninth. Why isn't anyone talking about Rich Harden? I thought he was tremendous today. Ten fanned, 5.1 innings of scoreless pitching. He had his stuff working today on all cylinders. That standing ovation was a more than proper welcome to the Northside. Lets talk Harden. If he pitches the way he has all season including today, this pitching staff is downright dangerous. Thoughts?

Needs more Deep Thoughts. : )

Thoughts? Well, a better title would help - I thought maybe Eric Zorn had become a BCB poster...
As for Rich Harden – he absolutely deserves some serious props for today’s performance. And once the MarmTheriLou bashfest dissipates a bit, Harden will get his love.
But I think BCBers need to kick it up a notch. Based on last years “magic number posting” debate, it’s clear there’s a lot of superstitious folks here. And it would seem that our users cross all kinds of intellectual, cultural, religious, ethnic, scientific, political, sociological and anthropological boundaries, so I think it’s pretty safe to say that collectively, we know everything.
So I put it to the BCB community – what’s the opposite of a voodoo doll? Because whatever it is, we need to get one and dress it up in Cubs uniform #40 tout suite.
Is it rosary beads? garden gnomes? stained concrete under the Kennedy expressway? We need to find the anti-voodoo doll and pray to it every 5th day for the rest of the season.
Hmm… I wonder what Bobby Brady ever did with that little idol thing he wore around his neck on their hawaiian vacation…

cub garden gnomes are popular this year
maybe we can get some of the owners to do something to work as anti-voodoo

Rich Harden already has a chain around his neck
heavy enough to support it…...I say he calls Sherwood Schwartz and gets it done.

Harden was impressive, no doubt.
It’s been a “tough”, lately, for Harden and has been a whirlwind week. People might not fully understand how difficult it was to come into a new environment and make it look like a walk in the park. If he’s healthy you’re damn right (Thanks, Lou) this rotation is dangerous.
DEROSA: How did it feel when you're sitting in Baton Rouge and it came across the ticker that Mark DeRosa had just signed to play second base with the Chicago Cubs.
THERIOT: In all honestly, when I saw it, I really felt like punching you right in the mouth and or breaking your leg.
