Ryan Howard?

Hard for him to do that when he isn’t even an all-star this year.

Oops, I assumed the best run producer in baseball would be an All-Star this year

But maybe this is part of the reason why the NL can’t seem to win these damned things. How on earth do you exclude Ryan Howard from this year’s All-Star game? Carry three 1st baseman if it needs to come to that.

And the best run “producer” (whatever that means) is in the game…his name is Josh Hamilton.

that I don’t like what he said…it’s that what he said was blatantly wrong. I pointed out a (gasp) flaw in his logic, and the conversation quickly turned into Junior High insults over the lunch table. Which is fine by me, my baseball acumen is only slightly below a Junior Higher.

Look, MDBNIU takes alot of heat around here, and I’m one of the pyromaniacs, but take 5 minutes and do a search with his username and read 10 of his posts and the context of the thread in which it is posted them.

The Probability of the WP being Lee or Sheets is very minimal

Neither of them will go 5 innings and qualify for a win.

I don't think they use that criteria for the All Star Game for whatever reason...

At least I’ve always heard Buehrle getting credited with the win in 2005 (http://www.baseball-almanac.com/asgbox/yr2005as.shtml) and he only went two innings.

Come in and strike out some guys who have never seen his stuff before. I just think with Dempster and Lincecum possibly not availible Hurdle is gonna have to leave a guy out there.

I think Chi-town is gonna own NY today...

I think that Aramis is gonna hit a GW HR in the 8th, and Marmol is gonna close it out. Joe Crede will also hit a HR. Zambrano will have the most K’s. The losing pitcher will be Papelbon (gives up HR to Aramis in the 8th). With 2 outs in the 9th and up by 1. Marmol is in the game and has walked someone and given up a singleto another. He gets the final batter looking on a slider.
