Numero UNO!
Let my ashes blow in a beautiful snow from the prevailing 30 mile an hour southwest wind...

And I will come to my final resting place, out on Waveland Avenue. --Steve Goodman

I would of liked to see a bit more from Dome/Soto.
But Big Z looked like a stud and we now only have 3 players left to worry about injuries.

Dome interviewed right after his at bats

What he said roughly was;
- Great atmosphere, great players around
- Bad result, as I am not very good recently
- my first hit in ASG should be next year, want to try all my best to be selected again
- All of my effort in the rest of this year is dedicated to Cubs win.

Question
How does it work with owners getting inducted into the Hall? Do they have to wait a certain number of years after they have sold the team before going in? Doesn’t seem too fair if that is required as I would imagine a lot of owners die while still owning the team.

Steinbrenner was a great owner.
That doesn’t make him a good person, or even necessarily good for baseball. But he has left his mark all over baseball, and the sport would be very, very different without him. That’s my standard for non-players to get into the Hall of Fame.

However, I’m not sure I can go as far as that he was good for baseball…
And also, he is a really generous human being…he has left his mark all over Tampa with his charitable work.

It's also probably more difficult to make a good throw with a pitcher you aren't used to...
like the pitch may come in slower, or at a slightly different angle…that would seem to affect the catcher’s ability to catch someone stealing.

they couldn’t afford it otherwise….

More for the advertisers (car company) anyway.
I would think it’d get donated or auctioned and the proceeds donated.

That’s too weird.

this white guy came to my town to sing and she would not shut up about him for about 3 weeks afterwards – played him in class and everything….WOW it was bad

The Yankees always play or sing "God Bless America" at every home game
Per George Steinbrenner. All other MLB parks play it during the 7th on Sundays.
