Well, sigh, good night all. See you on the game thread on Sunday.

I don’t think we’ve got a great record on Sunday WGN games. The only win I remember is against the White Sux in Wrigley.

IF IT TAKES FOREVER!!

by Cubfansince1957 on Jul 18, 2008 9:49 PM CDT reply actions

Actually they are

6 wins and 3 losses for games on WGN on Sundays. Let’s make it 7-3 this Sunday.

Carlos Zambrano and Rich Harden. Now that's a pair of Aces.

Everything hit is a lazy fly to the outfield. He looks like he’s getting very frustrated with himself too.

Pretty pathetic exhibition by the offense tonight

Dome needs to either start hitting or get moved down to the latter part of the lineup in the lineup, he just isn’t very good right now

it seems we have so much confidence at home, but the exact opposite when we get out of town. Hope we can turn it around in the next 6 days

I know evryone is gone but I'm gonna post anyway to answer CubsBall2202

Lilly was solid. Wonder Hamster flashed some leather and had a nice double. Edmonds popped one into the Crawford Boxes. All else was flat…bad flat. Way too many lazy fly balls. Fukudome is still circling the drain (try a bunt perhaps and at least create better angles on the infield**assuming he’ll hit the ball on the ground again someday). Lee still worries me though the numbers are strong. Howry has me petrified (fix the titanium, grind ball in glove, tug strings…WORK DOWN!). I know it’s one game but damn it…Houston…Moehler? I wathched the Cards and the Brewers tonight as well as the Cubs and they looked rested and energized. Our boys looked flat. Get’em tomorrow.
