So wait a minute
We’ve been talking about Rich Hill’s back giving him problems. Someone mentioned that it might have been because he’s tall and lanky so due to “physics” when something goes out of whack, it really goes out of whack. Has Johnson had similar problems?
by cubsonWGN4ever on Jul 21, 2008 8:44 PM CDT up reply actions
back problems?
randy johnson’s back is a mess. serious back surgeries, etc.
but i don’t know if they’ve ever manifested themself in the inablity to throw strikes.

On Rich's last thread, I saw someone ask if Rich has a nickname
Over on Athletics Nation, we called him King Rich. We had a little picture of a crowned Rich with a K, which we’d post for every strikeout. I’m bringing that tradition here, if you don’t mind. Here’s King Rich, Cubbies style

I wasn't complaining.
Show me where I was complaining. You used the game yesterday to show that we could handle the loss of Soriano, but if you watched the game you would see that not all 9 of the runs were scored in typical cubbie fashion (scored throughout the game, scored in the 7th, etc)
Who gives a damn how they were scored?
You expect every game to be played in “typical Cubbie fashion” (whatever that is)? There are 162 games in a season. There will be highs and lows. Get used to it.

I don't care how they are scored
A win is a win is a win. A run is a run. But I wouldn’t use yesterdays game as an arguement to show that our offense is “A-okay”
I would use its body of work
