Rauch to D-Backs

Courtesy Yahoo! Sports

With the team from the NL West looking primed to play the best team in the NL in the first round of the playoffs, it's not good when the best team in the NL West gets better.

As already noted, other teams are making moves too, with the Astros (giggle) getting Randy Wolf today.

So, how will this trade season go--busy or have we seen the height of the trades?  Will the Cubs make a move for bullpen help?

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, editor-in-chief (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

The Cubs could've had Rauch probably for little more than Ronny Cedeno.

Given Howry and Marmol’s recent struggles, he’d look nice in the Cubs ‘pen.

Ron Mahay...

still makes a better target, but yeah, I’ve been hoping he’d find his way to Chicago for the last few seasons myself.

Mahay's having a real nice year.

Might be someone to go after. I’ve heard that KC is really over-valuing their talent so far, though….

Another time...

or place, and I’d be more worried about it. This year though? Pay the price, and let’s go do some damage.

Bonifacio is a pretty good prospect

...with no service time. I highly doubt Cedeno’s nearly as valuable.

Bonifacio

is a slap hitter with absolutely NO power who strikes out too much.

The only thing he does well is pinch run and play defense at 2B.

Rauch
or have we seen the height of the trades

I guarantee that no trade beats this one—for height!

I dunno...

I live in Indy, where our minor league hockey team once signed Manute Bol to a 15 day contract.

Speaking of signings, Bildo,

Heard anything new on the Keane/Berba front?

Nothing,

heard a ManUre fan group has apologized for misquoting SAF, leading to the Spurs protest. ManUre once again confirmed a bid though.

Eto’o has also said Spurs have had “formal interest”...I gotta think Berbs is gone and Keane is staying, though Liverpool has been dangerously quiet so far.

Geez, who's next, Manute Bol?

Rauch would have been nice

But I have a feeling that Jim Hendry is focused on adding a left-handed reliever.

That's what I've heard.

The names Mahay and Marte have been mentioned. Yes, this is from Deep Goat.

Is it funny that

when someone types D-backs, at a glance it looks like D-bags??? I think it is funny that my mind just goes there with no prodding.

Not exactly new.

Other teams’ fans have been calling us that for years.

No disrespect sir,

just admiring how although I am a 30 yr old woman my mind floats to boys locker room humor.

Hmmm.... when you put it like that, it IS amusing.

No disrespect taken. Like I said, we’ve gotten “D-bags” from other NL West fans from the very beginning. Bit of a badge of honor, because when you’re in last place, people usually don’t make the effort to insult you.
