Cubs fined $500,000 by MLB
I posted this on the gameday thread as well, looks like a pretty severe hand slap by MLB. Per CNNSI:
The Cubs were said by people familiar with the case to have exacerbated the situation by how they responded to MLB's concerns. MLB higherups apparently didn't believe Cubs people were completely forthcoming regarding their actions in the case when questioned about them.

That means beer is $6.75 next year.
Fukudometer: Created 3/31/08 Wrigley Debut 4/5/08 WGN and Japan TV Debut 4/6/08 Sun Times Debut: 4/20/08
Or it simply means the sale price will be $1,000,500,000
instead of $1,000,000,000
Or the players will pass the hat and Zell will chip in the rest....
yeah, right…

Well, Next Year is here .. and Jack's century's gotta end some time .. GO CUBBIES!
Mr. Rogers says
that MLB/Selig aren’t happy with the Cubs, in general. Thought they’d be sold by now.

wow, that attitude is just dripping with irony
considering MLB had the interim tag hung on Selig for how many years? MLB is a tool and Selig is the chief tool.
Sorry Hammer, no offense intended…
