Not only are they fascist, but they also drive up pitch counts.
That said – I’m not complaining! :)
if he were pitching three or four pitch Ks
I’d be less worried. It’s the 8-10 pitch Ks that are difficult.

yes, we can expect the Trib to give an unbiased account

Now emelie this is the time for a squeeze play
There is one-out, the count is 1-1, and the pitcher and position players will be not as “On” where the pitcher will want to get a strike, can Harden lay one down.
Now this is the problem-—Soriano is up after Harden so he is run producer—-but my guess is if the count goes 2-1 Piniella might think about it.
Or the Cubs could go with a safety squeeze which is different than a suicide squeeze
Piniella: "This is a tougher job than I thought it would be, I'm going to be honest with you."
matters little if it is a suicide squeeze
now with a safety squeeze that is different…..but still the defense has to be perfect…..I don’t like it with Soriano up next.

Lack of patience…nah. That is not his strength and we know it. I guess he is always a guy who wins his battles early in the count.

Why would you mention small sample size, and then not look at all the data you do have? He has had exactly one at bat decided in a 3-1 count this year. “Small” doesnt even describe it.
Hit the “Since 1987” tab. 3-1 count, 1.597 OPS. 3-2 count, .801 OPS.

wants him to go 7 today. Let’s hope so!
