7 Cubs named to the All Star game!
7 Cubs named to the All Star game!
Soriano, Soto and Fukudome as starters.
Ramirez, Wood, Zambrano, and Dempster all get the nod as well.
A total of 8 will be there if you count Piniella!

I can't believe Lee didn't get in
but Adrian freakin Gonzalez gets the nod. Yeah, that makes sense

What's the outrage?
They’re numbers are pretty similar. And the Padres had to have someone go.

Adrian Gonzalez is having a great year
22 HR’s and 70 RBI’s, plus he’s a great defender, Gonzalez deserves to go.

Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with Adrian Gonzalez
Hell, the argument can even be made that Derrek Lee (who I am huge fan of) is the 4th best 1st baseman in the National League Central. Lee plays a position that is populated by some of the best players in baseball.
Diehard: All right, Hendry, let's see how you improve the ballclub mid-season.
Hendry: What coordinates, sir?
Diehard: [annoyed] Coordinates?
Hendry: Yes, sir, they determine where the the ballclub is...
Diehard: Soldier, the Cubs have spent a lot of money teaching you to fire off a trade. Now set and fire.

Are you serious?
Cardinals – Pujols, yeah he is a better 1b than Lee
Brewers – Fielder is hitting .269 and is no where near Lee’s abilities on the field
Votto – Lee beats him in nearly all offensive categories
Berkman – having a career season you could argue
Pirates – isn’t it that Laroche guy? yeah..
Third at worst in the division and I would give him the slight edge for second

Some people..
Can’t seem to get the fact the he means even more as a leader, and a gold glove winner! Who had the best series, Lee or Fat Albert?

We give up Lee...
We gain Soriano, who doesn’t deserve it.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and remember, half of them are stupider than that!

D-Lee gets some rest
Derek gets some well deserved rest and time with his family during the All-Star break. Hope he has a great time and doesn’t think about the game at all for those few days.

I think
I think I know what he meant but I disagree the title is a problem. 3 Cubs were elected 4 were named. It’s a matter of symantics.
Go Cubs
