Tuesday the 8th - Stop by and wish PFC Alec luck on his coming deployment

My son will be shipping out sometime this month after a week at home and he would get a big kick if anyone would stop by and give us (him) a yell. We will be in Aisle 209 Row 14 Seats 8-9-10-11 – right in the middle of the row.

I thought about putting something on the scoreboard, but his mom was sure we would all miss it, and she is probably right.

He doesn’t know I am posting this – and thanks to all the BCBers ahead of time.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or Al Yellon, managing editor (unless it's a FanPost posted by Al). FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable baseball fans.

Best of luck to your son

His commitment to his country is admirable. He and his colleagues are the true MVP’s.

Won't be at the game

but when you have the chance to show him this post later on, he’ll know his fellow Cubs fans wish him well. And thanks to him for his great service to our country. I do wish I could shake his hand.

Go ahead, Z me.

Shoot me an email tomorrow and remind me...

... and I’ll try to stop by.

I would be close enough to yell

If I were going to be at the game ( as you might gather from my posts my voice
will easily carry the 3 rows I am away from you. My friend Irv will be in my seats so
I will ask him to do so in my stead.

FYI coming in for the weekend will you be there Sat or Sunday ?

Thank you

I won’t be able to stop by and say hi, since I’m in Denver, BUT tell him thank you very much, be careful, and hopefully they’ll all be home soon. Someday I hope we as a nation can thank him and his fellow troops appropriately. God bless America.

Does Soriano's defense at 2B really cost more runs than in LF? He makes a lot fewer errors in LF since misplays and mental mistakes aren't figured into the stats, but I have to imagine that his mistakes are more physical at 2B. Any thoughts? Is there a statistic on this?
