Could someone explain
why someone would get dressed up in full White Sox gear to attend a Cubs-Pirates game? I don’t get it. I’d say the same thing if there was somebody in full gear for any team that wasn’t Cubs or Bucs. What’s the logic?

Very tough play
grounder between SS and 3B, Ronny cut it off, A-Ram was pointing to second as the only play but it was the wrong choice. Ronny looked at second, saw he couldn’t do it, so threw late to first but because of his rocket arm he just beat the runner.

The Roche limit (pronounced /ˈroʊʃ/), sometimes referred to as the Roche radius, is the distance within which a celestial body, held together only by its own gravity, will disintegrate due to a second celestial body’s tidal forces exceeding the first body’s gravitational self-attraction.[

This is not a PlayStation team. It’s not an All-Star team. Let Marquis eat innings, go 7, get 3-5 ER and let’s take our chances. As I noted in a fan post, we’re 11-8 when Marquis starts. Not bad for your 5th starter.
Sure, he’s overpaid for a 5th starter. Sure, we thought he’d be better than a 5th starter when we got him. But, we’ve accounted for it, and brought in starting talent and shoved him to the back of the rotation.
"Thank god I threw out my belt & shoelaces."-Bernies Mustache Wax on Evil BCB, 7/31/08
Problem is I think we have a better starting pitcher than Marquis right now
I think Marshall would do a better job, plus it would be nicer to have another LHP in the rotation as well
2008 Cubs: Who needs nine innings, when you only need a 7th?
He is.
No diggity, no doubt. But, again, he’s SO valuable in our bullpen right now that it makes sense to know what we’re getting in a guy like Marquis. We’re going to have to score 5 runs to win a Marquis pitched ball game. We know that. But he doesn’t blow up and give up 8 ER like some guys. He’s stable, consistent, and always just under mediocre.

But we don't really have a LOOGY.
Marshall’s value in the ‘pen is elevated when Eyre is a figment of our imaginations and Cotts performs better vs. righties than lefties.
