Well the 7th is when the Cubs usually explode for runs
Hopefully that continues.

Horrible call by the 1st base ump
Dlee had him out by almost a mile. I’d say at least 3/4 of a mile.
at least it didn't cost us another run!
now let’s score some runs…a big crooked #!!!
THIS IS OUR CENTURY!!
Rally Time!
Get those rally caps out!

Henry Rowlengarner is singing!!!
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
STRETCH!
LET’S GET SOME RUNS!
’’If somebody had told me we were going to lose Soriano for eight weeks, lose [Carlos] Zambrano and Kerry Wood for a couple of weeks apiece, and then at the same time lose [Reed] Johnson, and then when we played the American League not have a DH [then-injured Daryle Ward], and be in first place by two games, I’d tell you we were pretty fortunate.’’ Lou Piniella (7/23/08)
Lets hope this guy
singing the seventh is good luck for our offense…
Remember the movie Rookie of the Year?
The guy singing played Henry Rowlengarner.
So he was the rookie of the year?
Gotcha!

That''s why you wait for the ump to call it ball four, Riot
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
Ryan Theriot has proven he knows where the strike zone is...
That was a bad call, Ryan was working the walk.

It was a bad call I agree
but Theriot didn’t help himself there. Umps hate that.
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
Theriot started walking before the ump called it
Gave him a reason to ring him up
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
Which, in and of itself, is bullshit.

Agree
but it happens and players gotta be aware of that.
My next sig line quote will also be from Lou Piniella, and the first word will be either "Look", or "Listen", followed by a comma.
Doesn't excuse it.
A ball is a ball is a ball. The ump shouldn’t call it strike simply cos you feel the batter showed you up by walking to first. It’s ridiculous.

Not to be too obnoxious, but...
A ball is whatever the ump says it is. No recourse. :^(
Yeah...
But if he’s waiting to see Theriot’s reaction before calling it and adjusting accordingly THAT’S bullshit. Same for a 3-0 pitch just needing to be somewhere in the vicinity of the plate.

This Cubs team has the ability to turn it around quick! (as in 1 half inning.)
One season-162 heart attacks!
So far it looks like the bats are having a post-Suds let down
...but we still have 6 outs to prove me wrong!
THIS IS OUR CENTURY!!
Marquis is crap man.
IMO, random quality starts makes you a bad pitcher because consistency is one of the best characteristics of a good starting pitcher. Occasional poor outings are going to happen. Heck, even if he had a predictable schedule of bad/good starts, we would be better off.
I understand why Cards fans called him BiPolar Betty.
Calm down.
I would have preferred no Buc runs, but...
it’s a quality start in the record books. Especially with the capabilities of our offense… it was an adequate outing. Not Z/Harden/even Lilly quality, but not sure I’d call it crap.
They're gonna need a bigger bat.

Usually you use certain guy when ahead and others when behind …
but I like 5-6 of our guys in any situations. Oh my, what to do?
